independent musicians. Your work does not compete against works from major record
companies or buried in an inventory of 100s of thousands of music titles.

buy a CD that's readily available.
- Your CD cover is displayed.
- Ability to add additional information. Market your work by
adding reviews or awards.
- An ignome.com artist home page.
- Stream video. You have an option to
show music video(s). A great way to introduce your music to the public. This service is

What are the requirements for
joining ignome.com's Artist Market Place?
To be eligible for ignome.com's Artist Market Place (Music): |
- Each CD you wish to sell should have a UPC
bar code. (To learn more about UPCs, please click here.). If you do not, we will consider
accepting your music CD. Don't have have a UPC bar code, contact:
musicgnome@ignome.com.
- Music CDs must be shrink-wrapped in a protective case, such
as a plastic jewel case, with the title and artist name printed on and readable from the
spine (the thin side of the CD).
- Please note we will not sell vinyl albums, 45s or cassettes.
- You must have distribution rights for each CD you wish to
sell.
- You must be located in North America (U.S., Canada, or
Mexico).
- You must have an e-mail address and web access.

I can sell my music by myself. Why use your
service?
Writing and recording music is time-consuming, hard work. Why hassle with tedious details
and chores such as shipping, credit card fulfillment, phone calls, and packaging costs.
Ignome.com takes care of it for you. When we start to sell out of your music CDs, we'll
send you an e-mail requesting more. You send us the copies and you're done! Ignome.com
saves you time that could be better spent on what you do best: writing music, performing
and marketing your music to retail stores. |
How will you be able to keep a consistent
inventory?
With ignome.com's Artist Market Place, you don't have to worry about sending more
copies and running out of stock on your titles. We will evaluate customer demand and
determine optimal reorder quantities for your title. When your inventory gets low, we send
you e-mail so that we can ensure that copies of your title are almost always on hand. The
number of copies we request depends on how well your title has recently sold. If it has
sold well, we'll order in larger quantities. If sales of the titles have dropped off
recently, we may ask for fewer copies in subsequent orders. Remember to promptly send
additional copies when requested so we do not run out of inventory of your title. |
How many copies do I initially send?
Your first shipment should be a conservative one. We recommend sending us two to five
copies. |
Who determines the selling price?
The selling price is determined by you. |
How will I get paid?
We pay you 70 percent of the selling price of the title and automatically send you a check
at the end of the month following the month in which copies of your music sold. For
example, for music CDs sold in the month of January, we'll send you a check at the end of
February. |
Are the terms of the program negotiable?
We can't make exceptions to the terms of the program. If you are unable to comply with
the terms of the Membership Agreement, we can not accept your work.. |
