- Ignome.com's Artist Market Place is restricted to
independent writers and comic book artists. Your work does not compete against works from
major publishing houses or buried in an inventory of 100s of thousands of titles.
- Ignome ships in 24 - 48 hours. Customers are more likely to
buy a book that's readily available.
- Your title's cover is displayed. Having a picture of
the cover is probably one of the most influential selling points.
- Provide a chapter that can been read on the internet
or downloaded. People are more likely to purchase a book after reading a chapter.
How many times do you browse a book before purchasing? Ignome encodes the
chapter for free!!!! See Books.
- Comic book artists. Display exerts from
your book. Can be a panel or panels.
- Ability to add additional information. market your work by
adding reviews or author comments.
- An ignome.com artist home page.
- Stream audio or video. You have an
option to provide audio(s) and /or video(s) to describe the book, your philosophy, read
your poetry or ????. A great way to introduce your work(s) to the public. This

What are the requirements for
joining ignome.com's Artist Market Place?
To be eligible for ignome.com's Artist Market Place (Books and Comic Books): |
- Each book you wish to sell should have an
ISBN. (To learn more about ISBNs, please click here.). If you do not, we will consider
accepting your book. Don't have have an ISBN, contact:

- You must have distribution rights for each title you wish to
sell.
- You must be located in North America (U.S., Canada, or
Mexico).
- You must have an e-mail address and web access.

I can sell my book by myself. Why use your
service?
Writing and publishing a book is time-consuming, hard work. Why hassle with tedious
details and chores such as shipping, credit card fulfillment, phone calls, and packaging
costs. Ignome.com takes care of it for you. When we start to sell out of your book, we'll
send you an e-mail requesting more. You send us the copies and you're done! Ignome.com
saves you time that could be better spent on what you do best: writing your books and
marketing your books to retail stores. |
How will you be able to keep a consistent
inventory?
With ignome.com's Artist Market Place, you don't have to worry about sending more
copies and running out of stock on your titles. We will evaluate customer demand and
determine optimal reorder quantities for your title. When your inventory gets low, we send
you e-mail so that we can ensure that copies of your title are almost always on hand. The
number of copies we request depends on how well your title has recently sold. If it has
sold well, we'll order in larger quantities. If sales of the titles have dropped off
recently, we may ask for fewer copies in subsequent orders. Remember to promptly send
additional copies when requested so we do not run out of inventory of your title. |
How many copies do I initially send?
Your first shipment should be a conservative one. We recommend sending us two to five
copies. |
How do I determine the selling price?
The selling price is determined by the publisher's list price of the title. In most cases,
this is the price printed on the cover of the book. We will not sell any book at a higher
price than is actually listed on the cover of the book. If there is not a price printed on
the cover, you may choose the selling price of the title. |
How will I get paid?
We pay you 70 percent of the selling price of the title and automatically send you a check
at the end of the month following the month in which copies of your book sold. For
example, for books sold in the month of January, we'll send you a check at the end of
February. |
Are the terms of the program negotiable?
We can't make exceptions to the terms of the program. If you are unable to comply with
the terms of the Membership Agreement, we can not accept your work.. |
